I'm new to BB but not Ubuntu.

I've re-install BB a couple times and after a day of use something happens to the window frames.

The closing, maximizing, minimizing, resizing, and title bar are all gone from all the windows.  Also each new window stacks on top of the previous window before it and will not focus on previous opened windows with clicking or alt-tab.

any suggestions?

So, the only way now that i use BB at all, is loggin into the recovery session.

I have restarted xfwm4 and xfce4 with no luck.  I have not installed any other WM.  I have only updated the current packages and installed some IDE/s and libaries for programming some Python.

I have it installed on a partition on my netbook.

hi Sparky, it's an easy fix, here's what ya do:

go to yer root folder, folder options show hidden folders,

you'll see a folder called .cache

just delete it, you don't even have to rename it

reboot, the .cache folder gets corrupt,

i've tried the other fixes, this is the one that has worked for me

lemme know how it goes, sincerely,  LT

I tried to delete the .cache folder, but had no luck.

I re-installed BB, this time i didn't encypt my home folder.  I got to thinking about it and it might be that files are getting corrupted when they are not able to finish writing to the file upon logout. When the home folder is encrypt and the process doesn't have to "key" to finish writing to the file anymore.

Hi Sparky

It's encryption problem, that is case with Linux, and it's not only BBox issue. Thank you for informations one more time, but we don't need to add this as bug.

Thanks !

type in terminal :

sudo cp /etc/gdm/custom.conf /etc/gdm/custom.conf.backup

2- then type:

sudo nano /etc/gdm/custom.conf
