Hi guys, I'm using this tool [1] as fake dns, I think that it's the most complete dnsproxy that I've tested, so it could be added to our bbox =)
btw if you know other better dnsproxy please tell me!!
Bye Bye

Thanks for the suggestion!

I've tested it on debian, now I'm trying to running it on bbox but I've a lot of error and Ive not yet fixed, the error is:
Quotesocket.error: [Errno 98] Address already in use
in fact
netstat -na |grep 53
tcp        0      0 127.0.0.1:53            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN
udp        0      0 0.0.0.0:5353            0.0.0.0:*
udp        0      0 127.0.0.1:53            0.0.0.0:*

but I don't know who/what kind of process is using that port, even with lsof I can't understand, any idea?

Dnschef is on backbox.   ;D
Network-manager use the socket, this from man page:
dns=plugin1,plugin2, ...
              List  DNS  plugin  names  separated by ','. DNS plugins are used to provide local caching nameserver functionality (which speeds up DNS queries) and to
              push DNS data to applications that use it.

              Available plugins:

              dnsmasq
                     this plugin uses dnsmasq to provide local caching nameserver functionality.

So use dnschef with a different port and redirect requests with iptables or edit /etc/Networkmanager/Networkmanager.conf in this way
[main]
plugins=ifupdown,keyfile
#dns=dnsmasq

[ifupdown]
managed=false
