Hi,
I have backbox 4.2 with 3.13 kernel and I'm trying to scan WPS networks using my monitor interface (mon0) but "sudo wash -i mon0 " always reports empty output

Here's a screenshot

===POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS I'VE ALREADY TRIED===

- I created /etc/reaver and /usr/local/etc/reaver. "reaver.db" file was successfully created by wash but still no AP output.
- Disabling network service
- Executing command with "-C" argument

==================================

mon0 interface is working correctly with airodump and other tools.

What can I do? :(
Thank you.

P.S. I know that there are other topics focusing on this problem but I've already tried every offered solution...

Hi,

I'm sorry but you will gate same answer. Problem is not BackBox it's about developer who didn't updated his tool for long time, and ssl libs are upgraded few times from last tool updates.

Good luck.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org

Good luck.

I tried it with Kali linux (even on Kali Linux netHunter) and it works perfectly.
I've found an update version of wash (v 1.5.2) but result is the same... :(

Thanks for your message

P.S. I'm trying to downgrade libpcap as suggested in the link you gave me :) I'll update this post with results.

IT WORKS!
Thanks a lot!

Solution:
1) Overwrite libpcap0.8 with 1.3.0-1 version
2) disable network service
3) start wash
4) PROFIT!

weVeg

libpcap is shared with other tools, check if you have broke something... reaver tcpdump wireshark ettercap etcetcetc
una voce libera รจ sempre liberatrice
