have you tried to see alsamixer?
type alsamixer on console and look if volume is up, or click on icon and look if your sound card is properly configured!

the volume is up in alsamixer, and yes the card is configured correctly

So your card is working, the problem is the volume.... Looking for the appropriate setting, you need only to set up the volume!!

Hi,

I am having the same problem.
The audio suddenly stops, while video continues running bb 3.
I have listed it at launchpad aswell.

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1133132

What is the problem? is it a problem with bios or the hdmi card!!!!
The ALSA drivers and pulse audio driver is working fine. The audio-mixer buttons are all un-muted.

I had the same problem..This is how i fixed it..
1. Right-click on the panel where you'd like the volume controller to appear and select "Add to panel"
2. Choose "Indicator Applet" from the list and click on "Add" and you're done. The volume control should be back.

furriephillips

That's worked for me - absolutely great, thanks!

Big virtual hug to you Ammly :)

Now, all I have to sort out is the WiFi not working & the mouse being detected as PS/2 rather than a trackpad...
