Hello,

I am an old timer to Linux but new to pentesting stuff. It is just something I became interested in. I know nothing at this time but am eager to learn. I checked out Kali, but it has a little to much of a commercial feel for me.

Either way, I am hoping to learn a lot and look foreward to some interesting conversations .

Hey New Guy,

I am also an ol' Linux user, and have become very interested in security / anonymity. I've tried Kali, and agree that there is a bit of a commercial feel to it. I've been running Parrot OS, but will be getting an inexpensive H-P Stream 13 ($US246 w/tax), and intend to go back to Backbox. I've always preferred the XFCE DM to anything else. The latest release (4.4) should be fun to try.

One day - I too - might become a bit more knowledgeable with PenTesting.
