I use Backbox all the time and it works perfectly well.

I have converted people to use BackBox - read the comments on my blog!

"You just managed transform a hardcore NodeZero addict into Backbox user.."

Read here: http://www.concise-courses.com/security/making-full-time-switch-to-linux/

and another comment saying how he/ she prefers BackBox to Kali Linux here: http://www.concise-courses.com/security/kali-linux-review/

Thought I'd share that with you guys.

Good post lister and i couldn't agree more.  BB3x64 runs solid on my HP Probook 4430s with 8gb ram.  Not the best choice of lappy but what i have for right now.  It's the daily driver.  What i like about the distro is when i mess something up, it doesn't take me a day to rebuild everything.  Couple hours, theme it, edit the menus and updates good to go.  Plus, the hdmi out works during initial install.
Here's a them called Dark Cold that i really like on BB3 http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/DarkCold?content=143165
For anyone who doesn't know to install what i did after download in case anyone doesn't know is i grab the Dark Cold folder with these files The Dark Code4 folder with gtk 2, index and user content the directory above that has the DarkCold.emerald file and the kdeglobals, not needed most likely but i place those files into /usr/share/themes then go to menu, settings, settings manager, appearance and choose DarkCold4, gives the distro a light blue text dark Tron look.
