This is the BackBox guide topic, and here i want to share what we are writing down.

You can help us, even occasionally, writing a small guide for some tools, or translating, or formatting the text, or make us laugh :) It can be useful to understand how to work in a group, to understand how does linux (in particular BackBox) work,  to understand how does internet or lans work, or simply to stay in a open source community :)

I hope everybody can give a small, but not less meaningful contribute to this guide :)

what's already done:

Information Gathering:

  • network analysis

    • arping
    • arp-scan
    • knock
    • nbtscan
    • the harvester
    • zenmap
  • web application analysis

    • blind elephant
    • cms explorer
    • whatweb
  • creepy

Bye all :)

p.s. write in english, if possible :)

I'm a linux user for several years.
and i want to know more about security because i'm a administrator too.
because of these i don't need to know how to use linux, compile kernel or add user and so on.

Backbox is more than 70 tools, I need how to use them and specially need to know more about exploitation, They are very useful
in server security check.

a presto!

ok va benissimo! Ogni aiuto è prezioso ed ognuno aiuta secondo le proprie possibilità! Quello che sto tentando di fare è di capire in quanti siamo e cosa si riesce a fare!

ok, very well! Any kind of help is invaluable and everyone helps according own possibility! I'm trying to understand who and how many we are and what we can do!
