Any date set for the release of BackBox 2.05 yet? I have been watching to see if there are any updates on the release date but haven't seen any and it says May 2012 so I was just curious to see if you guys were still on schedule for that 2.05 release.

Is this LTS or do you guys keep the cycle going to keep on the "Bleeding edge" so to speak?

Awesome I'm downloading it now! Rafaelle would you like me to put a super fast link for download on here just for the guys in the forum. It would take less than 20 minutes to download from my onlinefilefolder.com account if I upload it on there.

Update:  The 64x version I tried to install had a few errors installing while I had the check box "Automatically install updates" checked so when I took that off it went fine and said the install finished successfully but when I rebooted I got stuck with a grub menu and thats all??? Any ideas besides check the MD5 ??

I386: runs like a charm, I have had no issues with it as of yet other then something that was an error on my part:

I must have jostled the laptop around a little to much and the HDD became disconnected so after trying to access the settings it was like "NOOOOO" and I was like "FFFFUUUUU" so in a panic I slapped in my install disk only to get to the HDD selection in the
install menu and it was not there.... What a relief that was. Though I suppose there is a reason I should start to check my hardware.

-Awesome OS guys :)

Yes the 32x version works perfect and I just saw the post on Backbox Twitter saying the 64x Grub is corrupt. I'll keep using 32x since it works so well already. If I need to ever reinstall I might throw on the new 64x you guys are fixing. Thanks again for a great release, it seems faster and has a few extra tools. Really curious to the specifics  you guys did to the 2.05 version though.

grub issue being fixed on 64bit version, the new ISO can be downloaded from official mirrors.
Cheers!

Thanks for the update ostendali, I'll download it for later use in case I need to reinstall. Not sure how anyone uses any other pentest distro like backtrack, to me it's a no brainer Backbox or nothing  :)
