Maltego is already in our official repository but it is not installed by default.

Maltego needs JDK, but ubuntu use open-jdk, so before install maltego you need to install development kit! with open-jdk doesn't work!

this is what i get when i try to install it

after i do apt-get update

i run the following

apt-get install maltego
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package maltego

You need to download and install "at hand"!

it would be nice to add it to the repository, and added to the new version

i know you can download and install on your own, but the point is ideas for new additonal tools
