Hi,

The Linux tools from the Defcon conferences would be of intrest.

Because Google is my best friend, I got them for you. ;)

I've not got time to check your distro yet. So you may have these tools already, but I think it's must have if you're missing it.

Here are some:

- Xhydra
- Metasploit
- A good Hexeditor (For Forensics or Reverse Engineering, it's essential)
- Gerix WiFi Cracker-NG (A noobtool, I know but I like it. It's handy sometimes)
- Aircrack-NG
- NMap
- Wireshark

I've to say that I like this distro! It's awsome! But I got the distro on my laptop and have seen that you don't have anything for RFID cracking? In Backtrack there are some stuff for cracking for instance Mifey Classic. I would appreciate if you can add these tools. Like the same (or any better?) tools like BT have.

This is a little bit offtopic but, I'm very happy that this looks like the most serious distro that can compete to BT. I like the functionality in BT, but I don't like the people and the approach. It's just to many wannabie crackers and teens. I'm not intressted to crack my neighbours Wireless or take down some websites. I study System Sciences at a University in Sweden. I'll do my bachleor thesis for the Swedish defence in the security field. I've plans on sight to start a company, doing security implementations for organizations. So... BT is a great OS alternative BUT it doesn't have a serious approach. ATM I'm doing 2 forensic courses at a science lab. Then I want something serious, if I'm not able to get commercial licences to my own laptop. So I'm quite happy finding this. Only problem I got is some compability stuff or something with my cursor. So it's to slow. But I'll post that in a appropriate forum. Everything I want to add with this offtopic talk (sorry), is just BIG ups. I've found what I was looking for...

Backbox is very young as penetration testing linux distribution, but it distinguishes itself from other pentest distro in performance and flexibility. We don't know how Bt is nor any other pentest distro as Backbox being implemented, deployed and tested by a small team that highly experienced in security area.

RFID, yeah, it is in evaluation stage, because of our expertise must have under control any of tools that included in BB we haven't reached at the stage to test RFID tools. We will check very soon. However, thanks a lot for your notification about.

In our community you can get as much as support you will needed, so, feel free to get in touch in case of any issue.

Regarding your cursor problem, if you give us further details (platform, hardware, etc) we will be happy to reply you here....

Happy Hacking!

Welcome....
