Sure, this look nice for personal use, but i think that hosting providers need to use this too. Last night i made few scan of server i use, and i found exploit to run shell on it ....i got mad. When i try to use "Artillery" server blocked me to install script like this i was OMG... server provider use some protection. Now i know how people got my personal info, and i don't feel good, they have my clients mails as well. That is my story, we need script like this to protect us against people like we are :).

If you want to install Artillery with BB :

$ svn co http://svn.secmaniac.com/artillery artillery/
$ cd /home/backbox/artillery
$ sudo python install.py

I made few test today, after 2h online with server support i have artillery, i set script to send reports to my mail. To do that you need to open config file and edit mail settings.

1.SSH blocked nice !
2.Basic DDOS as well, after that, i'm not sure if you can block all DDOS.
3.Other test need more time to say something more ...or just i don't need them .

If you use artillery with amon script you can get "good" server for personal use. But that's not all what you need for secure server.

yes, i know that! edit the file in /var/artillery/config

If you use artillery with amon script you can get "good" server for personal use. But that's not all what you need for secure server.

I can say that is good, we spoke about artillery but as i know BB is pentest box, it's about BB deb team to say and do what they do always, help users to have good distro for personal use. Now,i can say that i like so many tools that i want to see them inside BB, but if dev team install all of them, we will have big ISO file, and that is not good for pentest distro.

One Yes and one NO from me for this tool.
