Ci puoi riportare l'errore che hai ?
Provato ad installare gli headers con

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)
Se vuoi installare VMWare Player, c'è il tutorial sul Wiki

la situazione non cambia. cmq ecco l'errore:
unable to start services
see log file ......
before you can run vmware several modules must be compiled and loaded to running kernel

weVeg I made wiki post about (month ago +-) : http://wiki.backbox.org/index.php/VMWare_Player_installation

Before we post something we test before, and i was sure that install will work.

per risolvere il probelma è bastato scaricare la patch a quel sito, (quella relativa alla versione di vmware player che avevo) e poi come sempre:
tar zxvf patch.tar.gz

little up to report that if someone have kernel > 3.2.x and player > 4.0.2 can be done with a little workaround, my example:
Code: [Select]
noyse@dog:~$ vmplayer -v
VMware Player 4.0.4 build-744019
noyse@dog:~$ uname -r
3.4.0-030400-generic-pae
- scaricare la patch da qui [ 0 ]  download the patch
- con il vostro editor preferito modificate:  edit with your editor
Code: [Select]
nano patch-modules_3.2.0.sh
modificate questa linea con la vostra versione del player, this line must be changed with your own version
plreqver=4.0.4
- applicate la patch, apply the patch
Code: [Select]
sudo ./patch-modules_3.2.0.sh - riavviate il sistema!!!! ho perso quasi 1 ora! reboot the system!!!
- una volta riavviato se avviate il player funzionerà tutto alla perfezione, after reboot start vmplayer and all work perfect!
