did you install gnome??
try to post some log (may be dmesg) or try to remove and install ffox again...

i uninstalled Firefox and installed it again still have the same problem, and i haven't installed gnome. when i open Firefox through terminal i get this

but it still opens and runs fine. it seems when i open through the web browser or just open Firefox it wont work.

Did you follow the links above? Did you purged or only removed ffox?

still wont open and when i open through terminal

wtf? also Thunderbird has the same error and can only run when it is root.

'cause you created root user and you have installed tool with that... try use sudo instead!

not sure why i had a kde package must have been a dependency or something. and i am use to using kali sorry about that. here

Hi,

Just make /home/ping/.gnome2/accels like this:

mkdir -p /home/ping/.gnome2/accels

And see if you need to set group permission on that file. But before playing with permissions, try to run firefox as usual.

he can do that as root which is fine.

the problem here is you have tried to install both gnome and KDE and messed up the packages. you need to purge both and back to XFCE. then we can help you further.

in the meantime install chrome.

Sorry ostendali (correct me if I wrong) but if he has created root user is normal that when he start ffox with default user he has some error "/home/ping/.gnome2/accels': Permission denied"... root is another user

Thanks for everyone's help, i fixed the problem by removing all kde, gnome packages and Firefox then i installed Firefox again.
