After installing BBL3 I attempted to run Kismet to no avail.  It asks me for my password to run and then just terminates the terminal window.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Tess,

1st you don't have Kismet issue, your problem is that you don't know how to set your tool. Kismet is a wireless network detector and sniffer and it works with wireless cards which supports raw monitoring mode. You need to put your card to monitoring mode and set kismet config file. Read more about :

http://openmaniak.com/kismet_conf.php

With BBox you can find all config files from teminal :

cd /etc/kismet
ls

To edit files use geany or nano like text editors, to do that open terminal and type :

sudo -i
nano /etc/kismet/kismet.conf

Set your tool, and have fun.

Cheers !

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*
