Hello, I can not install the program on the HD notebook Philco model PHN14505, 4GB RAM, 320G HD, motherboard chipset SIS M672 + SIS 968 FX ... after selecting the option of "compatibility", after booting by pendrive message appears: "key type registered trusted" and "encrypted key type registered". Already tried with two iso files for i386 and AMD ... Could someone help?

Hi,

It's all about hardware in your case (that i'm sure). I think that your hard disk will not support linux installation. Can you try to boot from 2nd hard disk or usb and see what is going on. That is first possibility but not last. If you get same issue with 2nd hard i will say that you need to boot BBox in command line (terminal mode), install graphical drivers and then you can move to install. Etc ...guessing around, but i'm not sure if this will resolve any of yours issues.

Check this topic as well: http://askubuntu.com/questions/315878/why-cant-ubuntu-find-any-hard-disks-or-volumes-during-installation

For me that is not easy to resolve when we don't have same issue and when we aren't in same room.

Good luck !

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

b4d_bl0ck

what if you don't run it in compatibility mode?
What other message do you get?
bool secure = check_paranoia() ? true : false;

I'll make a recording trying to install it, post here soon .... thanks

Attached videos trying to install from USB stick to boot, most of the time, only black screen appears in the notebook and does not continue the installation.

Don't do that (thanks for video), first:

1. Did you checked your iso md5 ? (http://onlinemd5.com/) (32bit md5: a45ba0c526e1506ee786a1b702bf7268 and 64bit md5:1a87331e16cfd4e2f0e925ee4a035040)

2. How did you make bootable usb ?

3. Why you try to run in persistent mode when your usb is not made for?

4. Before all check: http://wiki.backbox.org/index.php/Install_BackBox

I use linux live usb creator, check video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYMLSpBdRec for usb more then 8gb http://youtu.be/nYEqveTh_d0 .
