Chntpw vs vista business

Hi,

i need some good advice...

i want to clear pwd and make admin an user in Vista Business... I launch chntpw for this account (chntpw -u account SAM) and I attempt to clear the pwd with option 1 ( clear)...

then I reboot and my account pwd is not cleared.

so i try to repeat but there is the same problem... Option 1 (clear) doesn't work, instead if I attempt to use option 3 (make account admin) this works normally...

I tried to find some solution with google search , but i nothing found.

Hi,

It's all about your OS settings and version. If you can provide more information contact tool developer and see if he can "fix" your issue. And think, if you can add new admin users, login with that user and set 2nd admin user password.
