I am having some issue booting a fresh install BackBox 2.0.5 Amd64, the scary grub> shown... restarting from lived and trying command:
sudo grub
"grub not installed"
so i done apt-get install grub and then it's gone.
on find /boot/grub/stage1 and find /boot/stage1 error 15, now i am trying to reinstall again with live cd after apt-get

EDIT

Still not working, i will try with grub-repair tool

Re-Edit:

grub-repair do not works, trying a new fresh install with 2.0.1 Amd64...

ok i can confirm something on installation scripts for 2.0.5 amd64 are wrong... i tried livecd, liveusb (unetbootin) and both launching italian or english, bot starts and works, but after finished install on reboot i see grub>
2.0.1 still install and works, ill try redownload from main, mirror 1 and mirror 2 downloads done this for now
It is not important do it right or do it wrong, it's important have fun doing it!
There's not troubles, there's just solutions!

OpenVAS is not broken, pls use the service restart option instead, try it twice because during boot some openvas daemon starts and when you attempt to start them again by using start directive it got conflicts.....

Pls try Menu>services>openvas>openvas-services restart and let us know if it is OK...

cheers!

you might have messy partition stuff or missing something during installation...
I have just tested the installation to verify what just you said, I haven't got any issue by installing BB 205.

Pls give us further details on your installation and we will be happy to assist you.
Cheers!
