Armitage [SOLVED]

I just found out about Backbox, so I decided to download it and install it om vmware.
I performed a system update and a Metasploit update.
No problems there, but when i try to start Armitage I get a "could not connect to database" error and it won't start.
So you can imaging my disappointment when I download a complete pentesting system and stuff does not work out of the box.
Was this not tested before the release of the ISO?

I also use Backtrack and Armitage works just fine when I install backtrack on Vmware from the ISO image.

The error I'm talking about can be found on this page, but the solution on this page does not work :-)

So can you imaging our disappointment when we read post like your?
Please report the error, read this [1] and give us more info or came back to the bt....
hacking isn't fast and easy....

Hi,

I read [1] and [2].
followed the instruction in [1] and was unable to find the database.yml flie at location /opt/config/database.yml, it was at location /opt/backbox/config/database.yml.
Changing the password and user did not make a difference, the same DB error is generated on startup.
The TOR browser is also not launching after connecting to the Torbrowser network.

have you started up db?

and configured the correct port?
Tor browser is different and doesn't correlated with armitage, what BACKBOX (not bLack) version are you playing with? Now we are 3.0, released 1 month ago. Have you followed any other guide to configure metasploit and armitage?

Hi and thank you,

I know Tor browser has nothing to do with Armitage.  ;D I installed a new version and this new version starts the Tor browser without any problems.
So this part is fixed.

I got Armitage to work after a reinstall, so the second part is also fixed

I like the Backbox look.

BTW I use BackBox 3.0
