Buongiorno,

Posso installare backbox in altro modo?

Grazie mille per il supporto.
_____

Good morning,

I'm trying to install backbox by usb .
As with other distal linux (as lubuntu or deft), starting from windows 10, I downloaded the iso file i368 and I mounted the iso image on the usb device with rufus.
However, restarting PC, doesn't start the installation of Backbox. Same result using unetbootin instead of rufus .

I have a surface pro 4, i7, and I've already disabled the secure boot control. Then, I set up usb in bios (uefi) as first bootable device.

Any solutions? Can I install backbox otherwise?

Thank you so much for your support.

Hi,

Use http://www.linuxliveusb.com/ in place of Unetbootin. Download, check MD5, pick iso from your pc, and check "format my usb" option and

But even if this work you can have other problems from what i heard. I don't know much about Surface, I saw only few but never tested installation of any Linux distro, users like their Win :).

Pls check http://blog.davidelner.com/dual-booting-ubuntu-14-10-on-the-surface-pro-3/, from this tutorial you will need to disable hibernation as well.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

Thanks!! I try with linux live usb setting "Force using sane parameters as" Backbox 4.3, but the installation doesn't start when I reboot the pc.

If i use virtualbox, it starts backbox 4.5.1 but when i click on "install on my system", it blocks.

Ps. Md5 is checked.

Edit

I solved the problem and now I create a bootable pendrive usb with backbox 4.5.1!

Thanks a lot for your help
