Hi everybody,

Sorry for my english if i make mistakes.

Here's my problem. I want to install backbox on a Acer aspire one ZG5 with the following characteristics :

http://www.engadget.com/products/acer/aspire/one/zg5/specs/

So it's a 32 bits architecture. I'm trying to boot on a USB and it doesn't want to boot on it. I tried :
- sudo dd if=... of=...
- Unetbootin

It works with Kali and parrot security OS.

The ISO file is not the problem (it runs perfectly on Virtual Box).

Anyone has some juicy infos about it ?

I really want to use Backbox on it because it's light, fast, ubuntu based, and the features are quite simple and enough for my works when i'm moving.

Thank you in advance.

try rufus with wine or a windows vm, should work fine.  virtualbox add-ons installed and you can use the usb in the vm.

Hi,

I tested last version on ZG5 and i don't have issues, you need just to build good usb. Check this: https://forum.backbox.org/howtos/build-bootable-(installation)-usb-with-dd/, and if you are on Win, grab Linux Live Usb making tool.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*
