This script I wrote before one of openvas dev join our team, now you don't need this script, openvas comes as pre-installed service in BackBox.

I see, but try to stay up to date, i have my BBox installation for over 2-3 years without big issues, and my home PC run on it too. Just stay up to date and make backups. For all that you need only few min time to time.
