Steps
1) Use Synaptics to search and remove all instances of linux-backports-modules-cw package.
2) Then make reboot.
3) After reboot try:

sudo modprobe wl
dmesg | grep wl

Now should work!

This should work also with normal ubuntu distro 12.04.
