Compiz + Emerald in BackBox

Hi guys,
Get ready to get Compiz and Emerald in your BackBox :)

1- Install Compiz, Compiz Settings Manager and Gnome Themes:

Code Select Expand

sudo apt-get install compiz compiz-plugins-extra compiz-plugins-main compizconfig-settings-manager gnome-themes

2-Download and install libemeraldengine and Emerald

• libemeraldengine i386 https://launchpad.net/%7Emalteworld/+archive/compiz/+files/libemeraldengine0_0.8.8-0ubuntu0%7Emalteworld1_i386.deb
• libemeraldengine amd64 https://launchpad.net/%7Emalteworld/+archive/compiz/+files/libemeraldengine0_0.8.8-0ubuntu0%7Emalteworld1_amd64.deb


• Emerald i386 https://launchpad.net/%7Emalteworld/+archive/compiz/+files/emerald_0.8.8-0ubuntu0%7Emalteworld1_i386.deb
• Emerald amd64 https://launchpad.net/%7Emalteworld/+archive/compiz/+files/emerald_0.8.8-0ubuntu0%7Emalteworld1_amd64.deb

3- Add Compiz and Emerald in autostart applications list.
Go to: Menu> Settings> Settings Manager> Session and Startup> Application Autostart and add the following:

name: compiz
command: compiz â€"-replace ccp &

name: emerald
command: emerald â€"-replace

4-Make sure that Automatically save session on logout is unchecked under Menu> Settings> Settings Manager> Session and Startup> General

5-Log out and log in.
