Problem with wireless card [SOLVED]

Hello, I have the intel Intel 4965/5xxx   iwlagn, it makes browsing the web very slow and the wireless indicator on my laptop is flashing between connected and not connected. My laptop is also slow, but when i run windows 7, there is no lag whatsoever with programs or the web. Can someone help me with my internet problem and the lag problem?
i have a intel centrino core, 4gb ram

Flash your PC bios, then install BackBox or try to updated BBox kernel if BBox is installed, maybe this will fix this issue.

What do you mean by "flash my pc bios"?
i have a laptop so im not sure i can do that. I think i hve the lastest BBox installed.

1.When i have problem like this, i try to find solution on internet. My old lap top was made with same problem with his own old BIOS that didn't worked well with Linux. What you need to do is to reinstall Windows and find solutions to updated your pc bios. BIOS it's like Kernel for linux. With update you will get more support for hardwer and softwer.

2.If you have problem with BBox wifi then you need to try to updated kernel and drivers for your wifi card. How to do can be found on our wiki :

This kind of problem advanced users try to fix alone, i don't think so that you have BBox issue, you have hardwer support issue. If you can send me your lap top i will find you solution, but like this, if you don't try alone, i don't think so that we can help you.

I had a problem with my wifi too and could also fix it with updating my Bios. Sure the hardware vendor will only give you packages that can be used to update with floppy (haha - nice joke of them) or via windows. I managed it with installing freedos via unetbootin onto an USB stick and then booted and executed the flash file. Hope that helps.

Edit: Still have some trouble with my wifi - hangs totally when doing a tcpdump or something like this. Not sure, i think i need to compile the compat modules myself.
