Problem with Asus eeepc 101xd and microphone

Hi,

I am trying to install backbox linux onto my friend's Asus eeepc 101xd. The installation goes well with the exception of the built in microphone. I have yet to figure out a way to make it work.

I would appreciate any and all help on the matter.

you should manage around alsa.....
if your sound system works that mean is only setting issue....

by the way, a bit more info doesn't hurt, info like:
lsmod && lspci
