Monitor mode

So iv searched everywhere and everyone says that my wireless adapter which is an ALFA AWUS036AC, doesnt support monitor mode. Is this true? Im looking to pen test, do i have to have monitor mode enabled to do all of this? i am very new to this and would appreciate any detailed explanations on how to get around monitor mode or what other tools i can use that dont require monitor mode. also i hope i posted this in the right area..

You posted in the right place but the question is not appropriate, cause you don't know what are you doing.... I'm sorry but if you read the forum's disclaimer you can understand by yourself that you can't make this kind of questions...
btw  Monitor mode is here [1] , here [2] and here [3] seems that you can enable monitor mode on your card.
You have to use mon mode only if you are doing wireless related test:

what would you try to ask? if you try to crack the psw who fu**ng care if mon mode is enabled? (for example)
