I am so lost. This jump to Linux is killing me.
When I was installing ubuntu the Ethernet worked. After the desktop loaded no Internet connection worked.

How is someone suppose to troubleshoot a Linux when it refuses to get connected?

I'm working with my iPad currently. Tried a bunch of different troubleshooting guides but i get lost quick.

The network card is BCM 4311 802.11
Ethernet is BCM 4401-BO

I can download whatever I need on my other computer and transfer files to the e1505 laptop with my thumbdrive. Anyone want to help me take another stab t this?

TY,

Hi jmooby,
try to follow this http://forum.backbox.org/hardware-support/dell-inspiron-e1505-bcm4311-problems-no-wireless/ and see if you can fix it...
Or wait someone who can help you, I can't 'cause I don't have your hardware!
Bye!

OT:
only a suggestion: if you are a nb linux user, may be, backbox isn't the right distro to start with.... only a thought ..
