Hi !

First of all, let me congratulate for this amazing work You did with Backbox.
I love this distro, fast and reliable.
But I've got a little problem with it.
My machine is an Asus vivobook q200e with touchscreen, but it doesn't work with it.
I guess the problem is that ubuntu 12.04 not supporting Amtel Maxtouch digitizer out of the box.
Ubuntu 12.10 did, I tried with it.
Is it possible to solve this problem or just wait for the 12.10 release from backbox ?

Hi morgyl,
not to be banal, but did you try to install the drivers for it? Maybe the stock BackBox comes with no support for this technology, so it could be necessary to manually install drivers...
However don't know if and when the developing team will switch to 12.10...

Good luck!
Have fun wit BackBox  ;)

Hi,

You have problem with touchscreen or you can't boot at all? If you can't boot from Linux then just disable "Secure boot" in your UEFI (ex. BIOS).

Some direction for touchscreen:

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

Hi,

Thanks for the replies.
The system boots, I've already installed backbox and using it as main system :)
I'll try the link ZEROF suggested and also to find the matching drivers.

Is there a solution to find out, what is that module or driver which handles touchscreen in ubuntu 12.10 ? (Because with ubuntu 12.10, the touchscreen works with a live usb os).

Drivers are modules, and you can find them with command lsmod. And check this too :

The touchscreen have lot of issue in large screen. It work fine with small screen mobile up to 8 to 10 inch.
