[SOLVED] Problems changing mac adress and connecting

I would like to understand MAC addresses better, I am playing with changing them.
After I used macchanger to change a MAC to a random adress I have problems connecting to a WLAN, it does not connect. It tells me connecting, but after a while it does not.

Can you help me resolve this?

ifconfig wlan0 down
macchanger -r wlan0
ifconfig wlan0 up

In same case your router can be issue and not your system. If your router have some kind of firewall and use other mac filters, that can be your issue.
