Hello folks,

I currently have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 that I would love to run BackBox on. Using Crouton I was able to pop on Kali with some time and research. I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to either load BB from an Iso or via crouton. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. This is the guide I used(mostly) to pop on Kali. Unfortunately backbox is not a registered/supported distro on the list when you do Sudo sh ~/downloads/crouton -r help . So if you try to do lets say 'Sudo sh ~/downloads/crouton -r backbox - xfce' you will get an error.
I also tried to use crouton and directly link the path to the .iso on a usb with no luck = Sudo sh ~/downloads/crouton /xx.iso++

Any ideas?

Crouton is not the only way to install linux on chrome box, bare with me here...
if you put just little effort you will figure out yourself, also because this issue has nothing to do with backbox just to be clear.

crouton is not the perfection, just a bunch of scripts which anyone can do it so no rocket science here.

here is an example of installing manually a linux system into chromebook:
