Hello everyone,

just as mentioned in the subject line, should I try and update Backbox 6/Ubuntu 18.04 to Backbox 6/Ubuntu 19.02? I have done it in the past with Backbox 5 and 4 + the earlier Ubuntu versions but aside from some compatibility issues with some of the programs, I did not notice any other negative impact on my system so I'd like to get a second opinion on whether I should go on with the update or not. Thanks in advance!

Cheers!

you can do that at your own risk, we don't recommend anyone to do that.

BackBox is always built on ubunut LTS releases.

One might ask the question why would you do this upgrade? If you are doing because some innovative feature in the new release then I am sure you are capable enough to handle it on your own without asking any support because I'd assume you are deeply involved into Linux and you know what are you doing. Otherwise, if you are just for the sake of having the latest of everything then think twice before daring to do anything like that.

Thanks! Having a second opinion on the matter never hurt anyone right? I appreciate the input!
