[SOLVED] Invalid or corrupt kernel image
on:
January 10, 2015, 08:02:09 PM
I downloaded (using IDM internet download manager) BackBox 4 32bit, tried to install it on my laptop and on a virtual machine but I keep getting this error
Quote
boot: Invalid or corrupt kernel image
I'm downloading now the 64 bit version using BitTorrent, perhaps the glitch is in IDM.
Any advise or tips?

Just check your ISO md5 hash, if it's not same with provided on this page
http://backbox.org/downloads
, you need to download again. If you try to boot from USB, you need to format your usb to fat32 then make bootable USB with live linux creator or something like that.
Don't ask, read :
http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

Quick update, I redownloaded the ISO and installed it on my main workstation after testing it on VMWare on Windows.
Dual booting both BackBox and Windows.
It works perfectly. I love it!
