Hi everybody  Cool

I have a problem with the BackBox installation  Lips sealed
To start, my PC is a "MSI GE72 6QL" (Details here: http://www.laptopspirit.fr/169997/msi-ge72-6ql-278-pc-portable-17-pouces-full-hd-mat-skylake-a-999e.html)

I have download "BackBox Linux 4.7 - amd64", Then I use "Unetbootin" to create a bootable USB key.

When I restart my PC and select the USB bootable key, it proposes to install BackBox or to use the live version, but when I click live or install, it loads indefinitely with the logo "BackBox" ...

I need help  Embarrassed It works fine on my Desktop PC yet  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Hi and sorry for the delay,
I do not know why but the "Live mode" does not work, not launch, error like "gpu stuck"
Well... well.. I have installed BackBox in "compatibility mode"
It is so cool, but .. No ... I obviously have no luck !
When I launch Backbox, error! "The disk drive for /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 is not ready or not present, blablabla". ..
The solution: launch backbox into the recorvery.. Then click on launch in the recorvery :/ But it's not very cool...

Hi,

What to say, I have "up to date" hardware as well, and small issue comes because of luck of hardware support. Why linux installation will stop:

1. GPU not supported or need installed drivers
2. Other hardware parts (like wifi cards) is not supported well and you will have network and freezing issues.

Etc..

This things we can't fix it's kernel native and integrated. We need to go to NVIDIA and say again and again support LINUX as you do other OS, but for now that work 50%. Anyway, search google and you will find some explanation about your issues.
