Greenbone Security Assistant
on:
September 23, 2014, 04:52:17 PM
Hi, again.
I tried to run OpenVas, with Firefox browser, and received this:
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
after pointing to
http://127.0.0.1:9392/login/login.html
[nofollow]
, as I read in the book
"Penetration Testing with Backbox", which is very good, I must say.
Any help?

first you need to start the service (app menu -> service -> openvas -> start)

I did.
The book says:
first start Apache
Then OpenVas
Then open browser and go to 127.0.0.1:9392.
I read somewhere that Firefox, my browser, isn't the best for it.

Me again.
I realized that the greenbone web page was been disconnected because the 9392 port was "already in use".
Than I stopped everything, and started from command line. Now it is working.
I used "ps -A" to see it.
Thanks crowd42.
