Hi guys,

I have a special questions that are totally out of topic from backbox "general support", but I try my luck here..
In order to create from scratch a small OS oriented to geographic information system (GIS) and I wish to customize some step to look more professional... Even if it's free, I would like to have this version just fine. I do not do this for money or whatever.
I'm just a addict of geography with free stuff.
I've choose Xubuntu 12.04 lts 64 bit as base.

First, I found how to modify the "slideshow" during the installation phase but other modifications looks more difficult.
Is it possible to change / modify the following steps to make my dream possible.
Here are the pictures:

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestion.

darksabersan,,!! whats up buddy...

The first pic is "plymouth"... you can add more plymouth themes through synaptic, and the easiest way I know to switch them is by using remastersys ( which I am assuming you will be installing anyways )  You can go a step further and customize them. They are in /lib/plymouth/themes

I am not 100% sure where you are at in the second pic, but the background is probably located in /usr/share/xfce4/backdrops

the 3rd pic is the ubiquity slide show, which you can also install different ones using synaptic.. I doubt you can change just the icon unless you get into the slideshow scripts/files. I think you can switch these with ubuntu tweak.

Also check /usr/share/pixmaps for the icon.

good luck man,, hope this helps..
