Recomentations for seminars IT security related?

A friend of mine would like to have a seminar for IT security, WLAN hacking or Metasploit for example.

Could you tell me if Top-Hat-Sec is a good business in terms of prices and quality?
Are there other good businesses offering such seminars? Any recommendations?

It doesn't look that quality to me but it depends what you are looking for and which level. You can end up somewhere where you will understand no words if you are not familiar with the level and quality of the speech.

If I was going for a security conference I will definitely opt for Defcon. But again, it depends on what one want in a conference, can be the most crap conference in the world but with some good speech and content in it....

So your question will remain with no answer....you have to look in the content of conferences and see if there is anything there attracts your interest/attention.
