After few days i installed backbox, i updated all things and now i open wpscan and i tipe some command and i get this:

ruby: no such file of directory --wpscan.rb (LoadError)

Any help?

ZEROF

I just made updates and i don't get that error. My question is what you have done before getting that error.

To run tool use BackBox menu or type sudo -i;wpscan in terminal.

And you need to get this with ruby -v:

root@backbox:~# ruby -v
ruby 1.9.3p0 (2011-10-30 revision 33570) [i686-linux]

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

I download backbox and update it. I run from vmware. I have same ruby version as you. Tonight i will delete os from vmware and install it again. After i install i will update it, check ruby version and post here is wpscan working or not.

When i tipe ruby -v i get same as you.

ZEROF

Ok keep me posted. Use "Update" tool from BackBox menu and option 0 updated all. Can crash first time, but reboot and run script again.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

Haki

ok....

vm->new

linux -> 2.6/3.x
64bit  5gb ram   25gb hdd

installed, updated, checked ruby version its same as yours, tried scan wordpress plugins and i have same error. I tried sudo -i but same thing.

ZEROF

What is command you try to run ?

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

Haki

I tried most of them from help. When i run wpscan you get help commands so i run most of them, ofc changed url and i still have that problem.

I don't know what to say you, I think you are only one with this issue. If you want i can connect to your pc and check, but ...

You need to provide more information, from logs end terminal as well, because when something don't work actually give much more error information then you provided to us.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

i had no time to dig, but seems something strange happened not affecting only him.
why not?!

j0lly

Nevermind, got it fixed; the problem was an updated gem:

j0lly@b0x:/var/log/apt$ gem list typhoeus

*** LOCAL GEMS ***

typhoeus (0.6.8, 0.6.7)
j0lly@b0x:/var/log/apt$ ll /var/lib/gems/1.9.1/specifications/typhoeus-0.6.8.gemspec
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1056 Apr 17 04:17 /var/lib/gems/1.9.1/specifications/typhoeus-0.6.8.gemspec
j0lly@b0x:/var/log/apt$ ll /var/lib/gems/1.9.1/specifications/typhoeus-0.6.7.gemspec
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1056 Jan 14 19:48 /var/lib/gems/1.9.1/specifications/typhoeus-0.6.7.gemspec
j0lly@b0x:/var/log/apt$ sudo gem uninstall typhoeus --version 0.6.8

@Haki: just sudo gem uninstall typhoeus --version 0.6.8 to fix
why not?!

Haki

j0lly i tried that but didnt helped. Uninstalled and then installed again, same thing. I tried every command with and without adding http://

j0lly

Haki,

the error you get is nothing to do with wpscan executable; is something messed with ruby or the libraries the tool relies on.
I suggest you to try run
$ sudo /opt/backbox/wpscan/wpscan.rb -u blahblah
in order to check if is something related to the path or some quirk environmental variable. Try also from root
# /opt/backbox/wpscan/wpscan.rb -u blahblah

Last thing, as ZEROF told you, if you still not attach logs and relatives informations nobody could help you any further..
why not?!
