Just started Backbox

Hi guys,

I am a new user to backbox,just installed it and used a bit though i have used some distros before but those were simple distros and
not with any pentest packages.   

The reason i started using backbox is not anything else but learning as i've been using simple distros for some time, now i want to learn working on distros i.e like backbox,  so i choosed backbox as it dont need much hardware and is also seemed to me convenient in many other ways.
Infact this is my first pentesting distro and i dont have any experience with such distros and particularly packages so i have joined the forum and hope that i will have guidance from here.  :)

But as i dont know anything about using such techniques, indeed i haven't used any pen testing distros ever so i dont know even little about these so please i would need your kind help.
And would you explain about IRC a bit i dont know whats that.

Also there is another thing i want to know that in the backbox site i have read disposition about the cloud service, is this service like a virtual lab, please explain about that too.

Man, regarding IRC you can read enough around the web... a simple search is enough to know more.
About the cloud service, well, it's still in development, and is intended as a paid service which basically lets you get an account and a virtual private server, on which is installed BackBox and from which you can do your penetration testings, without the need to have your own machine with BackBox installed... so, let's say, even from your phone for example.

As you said i had joined the irc but i dont know exactly how to use it and also it didn't let me stay with my nickname please can you tell me about it so that i can use it  without problems.
Also as i've used the @ letter in my name the irc was error with that letter or may be i was doing wrong can you explain its method to use.

please, do your own search and study ;)... Maybe i can suggest to see here: http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/new2irc.html , but don't know how it is. Seems nice and clear enough anyways (see also the detailed help section), but in general don't ask here about things not related to BackBox itself or basic stuffs. There are other places to do that...
