Hi all,

I went ahead and created a torrent for the 32-bit version of BackBox Linux 2.01 just to help out with mirroring and such.

Get it here:

http://www.demonoid.me/files/details/2867305/25121020/

I am constantly seeding so if it takes a while please be patient and seed if you can. Thanks!

I can also invite a few people if necessary. For those who i do invite, please let me know in this thread and invite other people if they need invitations. Thanks again.

EDIT: changed the address of the torrent because the earlier address was wrong.

may I ask you why? :o well, I guess that all help is appreciated, but there is official torrent file (http://bit.ly/sqXgMK) both for i386 and 64. so in my opinion, the best way will be download it and help seeding from this tracker â€" that’s what I did - because by downloading it you are actually mirroring it.

Why the heck not? :D

I figure it's always good to have alternatives and I am not forcing anyone to use it but it's there.

Thanks for the reply, though.

Hi,

1. How long are you with community ?
2. Did you asked dev team to test your ISO ?
3. That is nice, but post MD5 hash as well.
4. If i'm smart i will never use your ISO. Why ?
1.I'm idiot if I let you to hack me :).
    2.Backdoor or not ?
3.Can you take up to date.

Maybe you are nice dude, and you want to help people. But sorry man, i will never use something like this. If i use your ISO, i'm not with community, because community need to know how many downloads BBox have.

Don't ask, read : http://wiki.backbox.org
or just run sudo rm -rf /*

hi judasiscariot,
thanks for your support to backbox community.....
just want to noticed that as this torrent being "not" processed through backbox team we are unable to take any responsibilities related to it.
as you already know that we have official torrents and we will recommend/support to users to go for official torrent.

@judaescariot: thanks again for torrent stuff but pls note that the backbox team won't recognize/distribute third party iso/torrent of BB. Feel free to get in touch with us if you have query.

Happy Hacking!

1. I am quite new in the community.
2. I don't have the knowledge or skill necessary to put in a backdoor but I do understand where you're coming from;however, being overly paranoid isn't healthy for anyone :D.
3. I wasn't trying to take away anything from the community and I did put the www.backbox.org address on the link so that people could come on the site themselves and possibly download the torrent from the site themselves if they wanted another alternative.
4. About the backdoor thing, I have other torrents on the site and if anyone of them had a backdoor, then I would have been banned permanently from the site.

And thanks for the md5 suggestion, I edited my listing and included it :D.

Nothing to do with paranoid stuff, if you are new in community you wouldn't understand that of course.....
Think about the main linux official distro's....if everyone like you implement the torrent/iso by itself it will creates only confusion and hardly managable.....
Apart from the security reason, how do we know that you'll keep update and follow the BackBox releases?
Everyday we have new income into our repository/iso/torrent, fixing bugs and we update them....
So, my question to you would be, do we have any reason/time/etc to keep you update about the BB updates and follow you if you have updated BB or using an old version etc....?
I don't think so JudaIscariot, and I don't think that is reliable/valid solution what you are proposing.....
We can't keep synchronizing with you, otherwise we will not have time to work on BB.....
Pls do try understand and be comprehensive about.
Again, we don't recognize/recommend third party BB implementation such as iso/torrent/whatevermedia/etc.....

I really appreciate for what you did but if you don't mind I will suggest you beforehand to check a bit how the community environment works/organized and you can start with the main linux projects as they've very large amount of documentation and good explanation regarding the architecture and work flow of setting-up/maintaining a linux distro.....

Thanks a lot for your cooperation and you are welcome to join our community.....
