Here's how l got the latest version of wifite installed on backbox [version 2 is latest l think].

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install git

git clone git://github.com/derv82/wifite.git

cd wifite

./wifite.py


Looks good too. Does a good check for WPS pin as well.

Wifite is in BackBox's repository. You can easly do:

apt-get install wifite

These give you also a script for autoupdate it.

Yeah, l wasn't sure if they were the same version when l posted that. l think the GIT repository is supposed to have newer versions.
