Hey everyone,

This is my first post, and go figure it has to do with boot issues. I've followed the tutorial as stated in the wiki, however, no matter what option I choose from the grub, it loads the splash screen with the spinning icon. After a while, my laptop's processor gets REALLY revved up and the machine just freezes. I've tried two different flash drives, both with the Startup Disk Creator AND UNetbootin, and both present the same problem. The MD5SUM checks out and there are no disk errors.

My laptop is as follows:

Lenovo G505
AMD 2-GHz A6 5200M
4GB RAM, 500GB HDD
Currently running Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS 64-bit

Help? ???

Apologies for the double post, but now it's returning this error from the second flash drive (UNetbootin):

Hi b0dhi_ ,
this seems a graphics issue, at least an hardware one... what's your video card?
Maybe you'll need to blacklist some video drivers and install the correct ones via cli.
You can try to search around in this direction...

Bye.

It's a Radeon HD 8400.

I saw somewhere that it could be an issue with wireless drivers, so I disabled wireless from the BIOS, now it returns this no matter what option I choose:

I purged the fglrx Catalyst drivers from the incumbent Ubuntu install, but it still returns the error I posted above this :-\
