Hello guys,

I'm new to BackBox (and somewhat new to linux) and just installed the system to my hard drive.

I was having trouble with my network connecting and ran: $ /etc/init.d/dbus restart

to hopefully fix the problem.  After restarting (and logging me off), I signed back in and noticed that all the default menus were screwed up and were not in order.  The general "hacking" menu item was gone and all its sub-categories were spread throughout the other parent menus.

What did I do?  How can I fix this?

Thanks!

raffaele

try this:

sudo apt-get install backbox-menu --reinstall
sudo rm -rf ~/.config
sudo reboot

raffaele@backbox:~$ Get root or die tryin'

weVeg

or you can try some like that:
right button on icon-menu -> use personal file menu -> etc/xdg/xdg-backbox/menus/backbox-applications.menu
xml style and you can modify which your preferences =)
