Gaming on BB?

Hey guys I have been using BB as my main OS, and I want to install some old games on it from about 2006 era. Is it going to work for gaming? It wasn't designed for gaming. I'm using a Dell Dimension E520 with an upgraded processor and whatever graphics system that came with it. I love BB so far but I just switched over to Linux from Windows, and even before that, knew little about computers to begin with. Any help would be appreciated.
